ORDER LEAD TIME – VOTRE LOUIS SHOP
1. Scope and Definitions
This document explains how we calculate and communicate production lead times and delivery times in the “Votre Louis” store. It is informational in nature and supplements the Terms & Conditions as well as the “Delivery and Payment” page.
“Production lead time” – time needed to prepare an order for dispatch (manufacturing, quality control, packaging).
“Delivery time” – time from dispatch until receipt by the carrier.
“Business days” – Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in Poland.
2. How We Calculate Deadlines
Both ready-made and made-to-order products are calculated from the moment payment is booked.
Changes in specifications after acceptance may extend the deadline (by the number of days needed to implement changes).
Deadlines are given in days. Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are not included.
3. Indicative Production Lead Times
The following ranges are indicative – the exact deadline will be confirmed by e-mail after placing an order.
Ready-made products: up to 7 business days.
Made-to-order products: up to 14 business days.
Custom orders (individual project): up to 28 business days (depending on complexity and material availability).
4. Delivery Time (Transit)
EU: 2–5 business days from dispatch (large items may require delivery scheduling).
USA and other countries: 5–10 business days from dispatch (time does not include customs clearance).
Oversized shipments are delivered as curbside delivery.
5. Customs, Taxes and Incoterms (USA/outside EU)
By default, shipments are sent under DAP (Delivered At Place) – the Client, as the importer of record, is responsible for customs duties and import taxes.
Delays related to customs clearance or phytosanitary inspection are not included in the lead time; we have no influence over the schedules of authorities.
6. Orders
Upon request, we can arrange partial shipments – these may involve additional transport costs.
7. Status Updates and Communication
You will receive an e-mail upon: (1) order acceptance, (2) start of made-to-order production, (3) dispatch (with tracking link).
If we anticipate a delay greater than 5 business days compared to the declared date – we will contact you.

8. Expedited Production (Optional)
Where possible, we offer expedited production for selected made-to-order products. Availability and surcharge are determined individually and depend on the production queue and material availability.
9. Delivery, Damages and Report Protocol
Upon delivery, please check the condition of the package. In case of damage, prepare a damage report with the courier and take photos – this will expedite the complaint process.
Damage reports should be submitted within 24 hours of delivery: hello@votrelouis.com.
10. Force Majeure and External Factors
Lead times may be affected by events beyond our control (e.g., material supply disruptions, carrier strikes, extreme weather conditions, customs inspections). In such situations, we will promptly inform you of the new estimated date.
11. Relationship with Terms & Conditions and “Returns and Complaints”
This document is for informational purposes only; the binding provisions are contained in the Terms & Conditions (§7, §9, §11).
The rules for returns, exchanges and complaints are described in the “Returns and Complaints” document.
Made-to-order products are excluded from the right of withdrawal under consumer protection law.
